Freed Of London UK
Freed Of London was established in 1929. From their iconic covent garden shop and London workshops, they have been manufacturing quality hand made pointe shoes for many years.
Started by Frederick Freed, the son of a sample shoe maker, Freed Of London is also known simply as 'Freeds'. They have a long history of making shoes for famous ballet dancers, with Margot Fonteyn and Anna Pavlova being among Frederick Freed's first customers.
Freeds has had a long association with the Royal Academy Of Dance since 1936 and they still manufacture Freed RAD Ballet Uniform for classes and exams.
Moira Shearer wore Freed of London Pointe Shoes in the classic film ‘The Red Shoes’ and the company's association with op professional ballet companies has continued for many years - they have manufactured pointe shoes for companies including The Royal Danish Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet and La Scala Milan.
We're delighted to stock a number of Freeds products at PDE Dance Supplies including Freed Dance Shoes and Freed Dancewear including Freed Leotard for RAD ballet exams.
