It is so important that your feet and ankles are warm before you start to dance and that you keep them warm in between dance classes too. Dance warm up boots are very popular with everyone from students and teachers to professional ballet dancers.
You'll often start your dance classes with warm up exercises. In a ballet class the first couple of exercises that you are likely to do are pliés and battement tendus. You need good mobility in your ankles for these steps so it makes very good sense for your ankles to be warm before you start the class!
Kimberley always wears her Tendu ballet warm up booties before she starts teaching. Not only is this safer for her body but it means that she can demonstrate the exercises to the best of her ability, right from the beginning of her class.
Kimberley also recommends that students wear dance warm up boots when walking between their classes. This stops students from walking around in bare feet and it helps to keep their muscles warm and ready for the next dance class too.
We are delighted to stock a wide range of warm up boots at PDE in a variety of sizes and colours including Tendu boots and Bloch warm up boots.
Tendu warm up boots have a lovely warm lining, which makes them very comfortable. Kimberley also loves the stylish trim on the top that looks great worn over teaching leggings or tights.
Dance warm up boots are so comfortable that Kimberley often wears them at home as slippers too!
